Our first move for this 15 apartment aged care facility was to break the brief into 3 buildings, setting in place a sequence of circulation paths and garden courtyards that suggested a pattern for the future development of the whole aged care campus. We structured the individual apartments around the idea of the storage wall – creating free movement and abundant areas of storage within the compact apartment plans.
